As America celebrates its 250th anniversary, our community is coming together to recognize the courage, service, and sacrifices of the men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces.
On Tuesday, November 10, 2026, veterans, families, and community members are invited to a special morning of appreciation, remembrance, and celebration.
A Morning to Honor Those Who Served
The celebration begins at 7:00 a.m. with a free breakfast open to all veterans and community members. This gathering provides an opportunity for neighbors, families, and students to come together, share stories, and express gratitude to those who have worn our nation's uniform.
Following breakfast, guests are invited to attend a brief presentation in the CMS gym honoring the service and dedication of America's veterans.
Connecting Veterans with the Next Generation
The celebration also offers an opportunity for veterans and community members to join students for lunch.
Those interested in participating in lunch are asked to contact CMS directly or complete the Google Form previously distributed by the school.
These moments of connection help students better understand the importance of military service, sacrifice, and the freedoms we enjoy today.
Celebrating America's 250th Anniversary
The year 2026 marks 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776. This historic milestone offers an opportunity to reflect on the generations of Americans whose courage, commitment, and service have helped shape our nation.
From the Revolutionary War to the present day, America's veterans have played an essential role in protecting our country and its ideals.
This event is a reminder that honoring their contributions is a responsibility shared by every generation.
